Abstract:
This talk examines how Hamas used Telegram during the Gaza War 2023–2025 to bypass censorship, spread its narratives, and mobilize support. Using critical discourse theory and social media affordance frameworks, the study explores Hamas’s decentralized, multilingual communication network of official, military, and grassroots channels. It highlights the use of emotive multimedia, real-time updates, and cross-platform amplification.
