Narration and imaginary of the Indo-Persian-Arabic culture in XVIIIth Century India: Ghulām Āzād al-Ḥusaīnī al-Bilkrāmī (1116/1704 - 1220/1775), Subḥat al-Mirjān fī Athār Hindūstān
Our research focus on the analysis of one of the most known literary Arabic productions of the Indian Sub-Continent, Subḥat al-Mirjān fī Āthār Hindūstān by Ghulām Āzād al-Ḥusaīnī al-Bilkrāmī (Bilgrāmī) (1116-1220/1704-1775). The study researches, through multidisciplinary approach (metaphor studies, narratology and semiotics), the position of the work in relation to the Persian-Indian literary canons and the teleology of the Arabic language in pre-colonial India.
